Six Secrets Spots in Dubai

Written by

Every city has its secrets and Dubai isn’t shy of secrets, from cafes to spas that might not be so popular and a well known park, but have you ever been?

There are lots of hidden gems around, waiting to be found! Some of them are not hidden, but you could live in Dubai your whole life and not know about it, or have ever visited the place, and after much research and consultation I have chosen a select six of these secret places in Dubai, just for you guys! Some are not as secret as others, as a place, but the use or interior is the secret tip!

Level 43 Dubai

Level 43 Dubai

Level 43@ Four Points by Sheraton, Sheikh Zayed Road

We have reviewed the Level 43@ Four Points by Sheraton before and mentioned this place, check out our review here, it is definitely a hidden gem. The bar is great for tourists, I have advised many to do the Burj Khalifa during the day and Level 43 at night, because the best view is at night!

It is a calm bar with outside and a little inside seating, serving food, as well as catering to evening drinks on the weekend or after work! The best view shoots down Sheikh Zayed Road towards the marina, showing off the Burj Khalifa and the wonderful sky scrappers! The staff are accommodating and they have a free 3 drinks ladies’ night on Wednesday.

Shakeism

This place is known for the perfect blend for a milkshake; thick, creamy, and flavoursome. It is a small place with only a few tables but a take-away or something to park up and enjoy with your pals! You can either create your own or choose one of their delicious concoctions. I personally liked the Viva la shake and Fast& Furious! There’s also a selection of luscious waffles and cheesecakes! Shake shake shake!

Lily Pond Spa

Dubai is known for its pamper scene but you don’t necessarily need to splash out all the time, explore something smaller! Lily pond has various locations from Sheikh Zayed road and Dubai Silicon Oasis and the wonderful midriff city centre. They do everything from hair and nail care to Swedish massages and facial care, just give them a try, they are a true local hidden gem! Lily pond is a soothing answer to your spa and pamper needs.

The Coffee Museum Dubai

A true coffee experience, from drinking to learning. The little gem is in Al fahidi, the heritage hub of Dubai! This place takes you on a historical coffee journey, from antiques to chilling in the wonderful majlis. The shop also sells all sorts of interesting barista equipment for you to try at home, great stuff when entertaining guests!

Safa Park

This one may not be as “Secret” as we would like but the variety of things to do and see at this park are endless, from the Friday farmers’ markets to pop up flee markets and loal craft markets. Whether you want to sit under a tree and read a book or explore the mini maze or kick about, maybe a but of yoga? This park is great for more than one thing!

The gold class

Not a café, not a bar, not a café, it’s the front of the metro! The views of the metro shooting by are something you must experience at least once! Whether you want to pretend to be a conductor with the kids or take some snaps of the skyline when the metro rides through Sheikh Zayed road, definitely give this one a go!
