I’m not a strong believer in valentines day because I feel if you TRUELY love someone you will show them everyday, with small things, but as things go valentines day is approaching and a few of the people here at Dxb Blog thought it would be appt and helpful to do a post about valentines, what it’s all about, gift ideas, where to go and such glorious topics! So here goes .. “Dxb Blog goes Valentines”
Well I think we covered what it’s all about for me personally, but as a general worldly consensus it’s about LOVE. The union of two beautiful hearts, showing and expressing their dedication, passion and LOVE for each other. Exchanging of gifts, Romance, the color red and so on…. Now I don’t puke at love I just don’t believe one day is enough.
Contrastingly, St.Valentine was a Christian martyr who dates back to the 5th century for the sake of love and marrying young lovers and the day he was sentenced to his death (14th feb) he was said to have wrote a letter to his lover and signed it, your valentine. This dates back to Rome and has connections with the roman festival; Lupercalia. A festival that involved sacrificing an animal and whipping woman with the dry skin……
