So we thought we would start our first review with something Sweet! Sweet Retreat is a dessert parlor in Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire. Burton is a small country-side town in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom. A town famous for it’s Brewery, and is located on the River Trent. Burton is partitioned into small areas like Branston, Shobnall, Winshill and Stapenhill.
Sweet Retreat is located in Shobnall on Derby Street, opposite Lidl. In the surrounding area there is the town hall, childrens’ center, take-aways and a Motor store. Iit is one of those walk in cute places, and Burton is small enough for one to walk around! It is a 10-15 minute walk away from the town center.
Upon entering Sweet retreats the atmosphere is chilled out and the purple theme is a catchy idea that gives the place that edge that it gives off! There are sofa seats for those intimate treats with friends or your significant other, and stools and open tables for a big gathering or a quick treat with your mates!

They serve a range of sweet treats from waffles and crepes to a variety of HOME MADE Ice cream! We were stuck for choice! They also offer a great selection of drinks from juices like J2os to soft drinks like Pepsi to hot drinks like typically tea and coffee’s and something I personally picked up on and enjoyed; A Moroccan Mint tea!

A delightful little cup of Moroccan Mint tea complemented our sweet treats well, it was very refreshing along side a cookie dough dessert!
Overall, the staff and experience was delightful and for a small town like Burton is it a lovely little addition for those cheeky weekend or somewhere for the children to hang out! Prices are reasonable and the taste is very fresh and homemade! Complements to the creators! We loved the whole ambiance and choices!
