So if you don’t follow @dxbblog or haven’t seen our Facebook page, firstly, get on that! Next on the agenda is DIFF’16! Dubai’s International Film Festival! For the past 3 years I have been working as part of the Theatre Ops Team at DIFF and this year Dxb Blog is going press! We are covering snippets and exiting parts of festival for you guys! We may not have regular daily post but there will be a huge one at the end and a few on the way and our social media team will be updating things constantly, so get following and liking!

Dubai International Film Festival is celebrating its 13th Year and its a celebration of talent! From the directors, to the actors, the shots and each part that going into making a film, this festival celebrates it all! With press conferences, conversations with actors, red carpet events and not to mention the opening and closing night parties! This is something you don’t want to miss!

So what was it like to work for DIFF?

After a long days work @ Madinat Theatre – Staff Year 1.

No matter what department you are in; volunteering, marketing ,theatre operations, HR, management or press.. DIFF is one big happy family! I met some of my current closest friends in DIFF and I must say, they’re for keeps! Festival is a time we all get together and re-unite as that family! With the long days and excessive nights, everybody is tired at the end of the night, but we’re all in it together! The skills, culture, friendships and experience I learnt from DIFF have been phenomenal and unique. Right from that very first time I went as a volunteer with my pals, eager to get shifts for a full day, to the staff responsibility at the end of the day! I would do it all again in a blink of the eye (Hopefully next year!) The staff and team are so loving, helpful and enthusiastic, even if you’re not a film “Fanatic” , do it for the experience! Whether you go for staff or volunteer, you won’t regret it! Obviously everywhere has its pros and cos but the DIFF family is worth it all 🙂 A huge shoutout to the MOE theatre team! I look forward to seeing you on our social media later in the week!

This year my co-blooger Kj will be hitting the press pen, press conferences and talks to bring you guys unto date with the happenings and highlights! We are scheduling for a few press conferences, interviews and fantastic shots! We will also try get some movie reviews down on our Facebook Page!
