Well folks, as announced recently, Skydive Dubai’s premium location, the Palm DZ will remain open right through summer this year, including during the period of Ramadan and Eid. The Desert Campus dropzone, however, will be closed for a large chunk of the summer months. So, grab your diaries and keep reading for all the important dates and times.
Starting with the Desert Campus, the season’s last session of ground school will commence on April 6. So, if you’d like to learn how to skydive solo, now is the time to sign up and reserve your spot.
The dropzone will be open on April 30 and operate as usual. Though it will be closed on May 1 for an end-of-season break.
During the months of May and September, the Desert Campus will be open for operations every Friday and Saturday, only.
It will remain closed throughout the months of June, July, and August.
Over at the Palm DZ, tandem skydive operations will continue all-summer-long.
The dropzone will be closed on May 1 for an end-of-season break but will be operational for the rest of the month. Open 7 days a week, check-in will begin at 10 am, with the first plane-load scheduled for 11 am during May.
June will also see operations running seven days a week but check-in for tandem customers will begin at 7 am, with the first plane taking to the skies around 8 am.
Operations will run five days a week in July, with check-in time starting as early as 5 am, followed by the first plane-load going up at 6 am. Those times will continue through to August as well, however, the dropzone will be open for five days.
Please note, all timings stated above are weather-dependent. We’ve got our fingers and toes crossed for blue skies.
The dropzone will remain open during September, timings for which depend on weather conditions and will be confirmed closer to date.
