Marina 101

Construction of the Marina was completed at the end of 2016.  It’s currently the second-tallest building in the UAE and the tallest residential building in the world. The name derives from the number of floors that comprises the building, where the first 33 floors is made up of the five-star Hard Rock Hotel. The rest of the building is made up of residential apartments.

Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015. However, the construction progressed slower than anticipated. The facility is now active and offers great views of old Dubai (the Creek and Deira) on one side – and remarkable vistas of new Dubai (Downtown and Sheikh Zayed Road) on the other.

Ain Dubai

Located at the end of Dubai Marina, in the Arabic language it articulates ‘Dubai Eye,’ which is rather logical reasoning. The construction started in 2015 and was due for completion over a period of two years. Ain Dubai will open sometime during this year. This will be the biggest Ferris wheel in the world, as it holds 210 passengers at a remarkable height of 210 metres. Once you’re seated in one of the pods, you’ll get to enjoy the magnificent views that Dubai has to offer. A full rotation of the Ferris wheel will take about 48 minutes.

Dubai Safari

Though the Dubai Safari was scheduled to be launched in 2016, there has been a number  of delays, but there’s no doubt that you’ll get to experience it during this year.  Dubai Safari has been pretty upfront about why its opening has been delayed. This new park will be replacing the Dubai Zoo and will cover 119 hectares of land. The look and feel of the park has been compared to South Africa’s Kruger National Park. That means it’s less of a zoo and more of a wildlife conservation area.
