6 Free things to do in Dubai!

So you’re probably thinking.. One of the worlds most extravagant cities? A city that hosts a 7* hotel, the worlds tallest building, biggest mall, that fortune you just spent getting there? How can anything be free? How can you POSSIBLY do things for free? Well, we have found a few of the good ones and here we go….  Dubai blogs top free things to do in Dubai!

  1. Dubai Mall Fountains

Dubai mall hosts a wonderful fountain show from 13.00-14.00 and then in the events from 18.00-23.00 (Every 30mins). The show is free to watch, but get there in plenty of time to catch the show, especially the evening shows, they can get pretty busy! The fountains dance to the sound of the wonderful music, from arabic to french, and there’s also been a bit of Michael Jackson! These fountains are something all the family will enjoy!

2. Madinat Jumeirah 

One of the wonderful views at Madinat Jumeirah.

“The city” of Jumeirah, this place is somewhere you don’t want to miss! From the wonderful Arabian architecture to the views of the Burj Al Arab, with its hotels, restaurants and coffee shops, it’s almost like a little village on the edge of the city! If you don’t want to spend any money you can window shop in the souq shops, the local shop keepers are friendly and very welcoming! It is nice to embrace the culture and beauty of the place!

 

3. Dubai Mall Aquarium 

Whilst entering this isn’t free, you don’t actually need to go in to see the fish! This wonderful underwater experience can be seen outside the candylicious, the main tank lets the kids see all sorts of fish and saline swim on by! You might even catch the occasional diver or feed!

4. Jumeirah Mosque 

So this isn’t completely free but for a mere 10AED (£2) you can have an organised tour of this world wander! From the tranquil atmosphere and mind blowing architecture, Jumeirah mosques “open door, open to anyone” policy welcomes people form all faiths. It is one of the most photographed mosques in Dubai! Respectful dress is required  (Long skirts/dresses, trousers, etc) and ladies will need a hat or a scarf for their head.

5. Gold and Spice Souqs

This is not your ordinary Birmingham jewellery quarters and you will certainly leave AMAZED! From the long and heavy traditional arabic wedding gold to the beautiful glitzy bracelets and head pieces! The spice Souq is also a must visit, with the aroma of spices lingering, spices fro mall over the world meet here, and you definitely

6.The Beach! 

Dubai is flocked with public beaches from mamzar to the iconic beach at JBR! We recommend the JBR beach for a nice relaxing beach day with family, surrounded by restaurants and ice cream stands! Whilst you have to pay for sun loungers, towels usually suffice! so  just bring your own and you’re ready for a fun beach day! The beach tends to get busy in the afternoon so get there nice and early or an evening at the beach can also be lots of fun!
